The joint Princeton-Rutgers Latin American & Caribbean Workshop will be returning this Friday, February 10th at 4:30 PM at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, 301 Van Dyck Hall. The first presenter of the spring semester will be Mariana Katz, PhD Candidate in History at Columbia University, who will be presenting a chapter of her dissertation entitled “Policing Dissent and the Rise of State Slavery (Paraguay 1820-1840).” We are also excited to have Isadora Mota, Assistant Professor of History at Princeton University, serving as commentator.
