We are pleased to announce the publication of Revista de Estudios Hispánicos, Volume 59, Number 1 (March 2025), guest-edited by Professor Marcy Schwartz (Rutgers University, Department of Spanish & Portuguese), who also contributes her own article to the dossier, Disrobed: Bodily Spectacles and the Dislocation of Exile in Rereading Julio Cortázar’s Libro de Manuel and Cristina Peri Rossi’s La nave de los locos.
This special issue, titled "Reading in the Time of Media Multiplicity: Practices from Latin America," brings together scholarship that explores the multiple mediations of reading, including print literature, digital media, translation, visual and performative ecologies, exile, archival practices, and social protest.
