  • Research Areas (themes, countries): My work is focused on remote work view from different angles. During my masters’ degree, I approached this phenomenon from the worker’s perspective, the challenges it represents, and the opportunities it can create. I have also studied remote work through the digital nomad lens, looking at places effectively attracting, or seeking to attract, this niche population. For my dissertation, I intend to center my attention in one specific case study: Mexico City. My intention is to understand how newly arrived remote workers interact with the local communities and the impacts they may have in the spatial configuration and the construction of social fabric.
